Who are we?
We are Kim & Jon Southall parents of 15 year old twin boys Dylan and Ethan. In 2010 Dylan was diagnosed with autism and developmental delay. We set up Autism Aware UK in 2012 to help support families and people affected by autism.
What We Do
Autism Aware UK (AAUK) works hard to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). AAUK also provides online support to families affected by autism by sharing information and offering advice or just being there to listen. AAUK raises funds which are then used to purchase specialist equipment, which is then donated to schools/groups that educate/support people with autism.
What’s Autism?
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.
